Moving House: Dream v Reality

I'm dreaming of a White Kitchen .....with every Christmas card I write

Hello my lovelies. Maybe some of you are wondering where I have got to? All I can say is I am covered in scratches, my hair is full of dust and I am sneezing up a storm. Yes I have moved house and I'm dishing all about it at At Home magazine where I now have a column as The Ex-Pat Mommy. So click on the button below and check it out! And tell me if you too have lurid fantasies revolving around cookers with all the bells and whistles ... or is it just me?

Congrats! Emma has become a multimedia entity! Sort of like Gordon Ramsey, but without all the cursing!

XL...you know how it goes - I set the trends and the rest follow. Ten years ago I moved to Baltimore and now all the Brits are here: Cat Deeley, Posh, Simon Cowell and now Gordon Ramsay's decided to hop the pond!

I have cabinets a bit like that (and yes, I loathe cooking), but let me tell you something about them. See that lovely trim on each door? It's a veritable muck trap. Mine are a creamy yellow-ish and the dirt gets trapped in the edges of the trim and looks terrible. I have to clean the very corners out with a Q tip for Pete's sake. Go dark if you must have the trim.

All my kitchen fantasies involve Nigella, chocolate and a magi-mix.

How about:

- a lino floor
- a plastic sheet
- some Rowntree's Fruit Jelly
- some Johnson's Baby Oil
- a length of electric cord

All beside the Aga. Romantic enough for ya ?

Electro-Kevin.....I like the way you're thinking apart from I'm a bit worried about the electrical cord??

I'm moving too, except we're gutting and renovating. The deadline is Christmas because my relatives are coming to stay.
Congratulations on the column, and I hope you love the new house!
